Real Estate
Commission
Mr. Collins engineered the
successful resolution of a real estate commission dispute against Morgan
Guaranty Trust Company of New York. The case involved a build-to-suit for the
corporate headquarters of a major insurance company. Over its partner's
objections, Morgan Guaranty withdrew from the transaction on the day of the
closing. Morgan Guaranty agreed to a confidential seven-figure
settlement.
Government
Contracts
Mr. Collins represented an Alaskan
air carrier in litigation challenging the constitutionality of federal
special-interest legislation designed to eliminate the carrier from eligibility
to carry some forms of U.S. mail throughout Alaska. The case is now on
appeal to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
