Some Recent Cases Handled by Mr. Collins

Mr. Collins represented a Florida-based real estate development company in an eminent domain action brought by the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority to acquire a portion of the company's large San Jose-area shopping mall for a light-rail station. Eventually, Mr. Collins arranged a $6.5 million settlement.

 

 

 

Mr. Collins represented the owners of a vacant parcel of commercial land in downtown Oceanside whose land was being taken in eminent domain by a redevelopment agency for construction of a retail/movie theater complex. After a week of trial, the case settled for $1.25 million.
